A while ago we made an alcohol-free version of the Ramos Gin Fizz on this site. This is a Gin Fizz based on cream. Very tasty, we often made it at a party, but there is one major disadvantage to the drink. The cream makes it a bit of a calorie bomb. Alcohol-free distillates may be almost calorie-free, but adding a quack of cream makes the cocktail a bit unhealthier. By replacing the cream with coconut milk you can make a slightly healthier variant of this Ramos Gin Fizz. Coconut milk also contains some calories, but would be a little healthier than regular cream. Due to the tropical taste, this milk also adds a nice touch to the Ramos Gin Fizz. For those who love coconut or those who want to daydream about a tropical island with waving palm trees, this Coconut Fizz is a must.
What do you need?
5 cl. alcohol-free distillate
1.5 cl. lime juice
1.5 cl. lemon juice
3 cl. sugar syrup
6 cl. coconut milk
2 drops of orange blossom extract (optional)
Sparkling water
Ice cubes
How do you make it?
Pour all ingredients except the sparkling water into a shaker and shake well. You should shake the regular Ramos gin fizz for two minutes, the coconut milk version can be shaken for a little less. After the first shake, put ice in the shaker and shake well for another half minute. Then pour the mixture through a strainer into your cooled glass and top up with some sparkling water. Enjoy!
